Frame34 is an experienced broadcast and media service company with two very experienced partners that founded this dynamic and professional service provider.
We are a launch member of the AP Live Community. The Community links European broadcasters with AP approved LiveU Teams.
We are fast, flexible and adaptable due to our two decades of broadcast experience. No matter what problems you encounter, only the result counts. We are your fixer in Turkey.
Our office is located in the heart of Istanbul. Here we have everything which is necessary for any kinds of productions and the crew too.
The TV-Journalist, fixer, cameraman & director Christian Feiland became a “globe trotter” as an infant due to his father´s job. As a toddler he has lived for 4 years in Istanbul and as teenager he has spent 3 years in Karachi, Pakistan.
In 1993 Chris started his media carrier at the Radio station “Kiss FM Berlin”. As young journalist he moderated a 2h program called “Kiss Young Culture”. Shortly afterwards he changed to the field of TV and he was hired by the “Deutsche Welle TV” service provider “Media Port Berlin” as a TV-Reporter. Istanbul became his destination by choice in 1997. He settled down and worked for the German national TV station “ARD” in the Istanbul Studio. Later on he started his own production company, which produces programs for TV stations world-wide. He has worked with various well-known personalities like: Ivan Watson, Michael Bloomberg, Dieter Kronzucker, Claus Kleber, Anne Will, Antonia Rados, Tilman Jens, etc.
Feiland witnessed all major events in Turkey over the past years – as journalist including live stand-ups, as a fixer, editor or cameraman. For bigger sets he was the line-producer of crews of 20 or more (e.g. Pro7- “Gülcan´s Hochzeit” – Türkei Folge, arte – “Durch die Nacht mit…”) He arranged service provider contracts and worked with ORF (Austrian public service provider) and DHA (Dogan News Agency) for many years.
Feiland speaks fluently Turkish, English and German. On top of all Feiland´s family history at the Bosporus dates an astonishing 140 years back. (Video)
The second partner, Ceyda Kalafatcioglu has a professional ballet education. After finishing the Conservatory in Vienna, Ceyda was hired by the “Slovak National Theater” and has lived for 5 years outside Turkey until, due to an injury, she returned to her hometown Istanbul. She then used her background to work for the production and editorial team of one of the biggest private TV production companies (Medyapim) for entertainment shows like “Wheel of fortune”, “Your Mama Don´t Dance” and “Dancing on Ice”. Before joining the team of Frame34, she worked as event manager for international festivals and arranged Jazz-concerts with international groups.
Why “34”? Thirtyfour is the area code of Istanbul. The postal code and Car´s plates registered in Istanbul start with a 34 followed by two-three letters.
